Step back to the 1940’s on the Solid Rock Traction & Electric Co, my modular O scale Electric interurban layout!

The layout depicts a sleepy fictional town off the coast of Northern Maine that is home to a small but well off Electric Interurban Company. The catenary on the layout is fully functional & used for power pickup. All Locomotives, Structures, Boats, etc are scratchbuilt And the Track is hand laid.

To the left you can see one of my longest running projects to date, a 1:32nd scale model of Frisco #1630. The model is entirely scratchbuilt of ABS and Styrene with brass details, brass pilot/frames and PIKO wheels and drivetrain. It is still a work in progress and needs the tender constructed among other things.

O scale stern wheel paddle steamer “Allagash”, completely scratchbuilt of Styrene & Brass with Oak decking, and 3D printed Hull/Boiler using drawings from the 1902 catalog of The Marine Ironworks of Chicago. Both cabins and wheelhouse are fully detailed inside with LED lighting throughout as well.

HO Scale model of a Hammerhead Harbor crane scratchbuilt from styrene and brass. Hooks raises/lowers and superstructure spins. Painted and heavily weathered to give the appearance of an old crane beaten by the sea air.

Small 00 Scale UK shelf layout set in the late 50’s designed to fit as one shelf on an existing bookcase. Despite its small size it’s wired for DCC or DC operation and with an external fiddle yard attached makes for a fun shunting puzzle.
